Here is a size 12 black jacket and skirt that I made and embroidered to get some visuals for my concept. The reception I get from these samples was really positive and I really like the embroidery dispersing. Although I like the stitches along the seams, I don't think it is as visually exciting or strong.
From this sample, I began designing garments with embroidery on them, looking at the placement of the embroidery for the best visual impact. I also printed off some images and drew over them to get an idea of the embroidery and colour working together. Also, I knew exactly how I wanted it to look in my head but I needed to express this on paper for my tutors sake so they knew exactly what I was talking about doing.
